About Me
Brittany Gillespie is a 24 year old aspiring web developer. In May 2017 she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Science with a concentration in health professions and a minor in Psychology. She began to code as a hobby in April 2017 and felt she had a passion for programming far exceeded her interest in science and medicine.
Aside from programming, her hobbies include spending quality time with her animals, cooking, learning new things, and playing video games.Brittany graduated from the inaugural class of the University of Richmond's Coding Bootcamp and was voted "Best Front-End Design" by her peers. She has experience with HTML, Semantic HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Node.js, React, Redux, MongoDB, Mongoose, Express, Java, Handlebars, GIT, Github, MySQL, Firebase, Bootstrap 4, Semantic UI, Media Queries, APIs, JSON, REST, AJAX, Mocha, Chai, Jest, NPM, Yarn, Agile methodologies, User Interface design, WCAG/508 standards, Mobile first design, Responsive design, and Photoshop.
